May....Mother's Day Tea...We truly thank and appreciate our sponsors for the Mother's Day Tea.  It was such a
beautiful event, in which all of our wives and mother's had a wonderful time.  So thank you to
Heidi Brecker from
Troop Transition and Hearts 2 Serve for donating a generous amount for the tea, Chris Walker from Oceanside
Marina Suites for donating the beautiful facility and view, Courtyard Cafe & Tea Room for all the delicious food,
and
Charley Salas for the beautiful cupcakes she made for our children's tea.

April......Alex Colon-Soto and Carrie Colon for showing us ladies some defensive techniques at our Self Defense
Night meeting!

Alex has been studying and practicing Japanese Martial Arts for over 15 years. Alex currently holds a 5th degree
Black Belt in Nindo Ryu Gendai Ninjutsu, a 4th degree Black Belt in Goshin Jujitsu, a 3rd degree Black Belt in Iai
Jutsu, a 1st degree Black Belt in Kobu Jutsu and TantoJutsu, and a Green Belt in the Marine Corps Martial Arts
Program.

Carrie holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Worlk Tae Kwon Do, which she has been studying and practicing for 10
years. She has also taught basic self defense classes to women within the Tae Kwon Do studio that she trained at
